UltimateTV: Your Receiver







The DIRECTV™ Receiver with UltimateTV® service from Microsoft can record up to 35 hours of digital DIRECTV® programming on its built-in hard drive (actual recording capacity depends on type of programming being recorded). To receive DIRECTV programming, the receiver must be connected to a television and a dual-LNB DIRECTV satellite dish antenna and you must subscribe to a DIRECTV programming package. The receiver has two satellite tuners. When both tuners are connected to the satellite dish antenna, you can use features such as Picture-In-Picture (PIP), record two programs at the same time, or watch one program while recording another.* A built-in 56K modem lets you access Internet features including e-mail, the Web, online chat rooms, and interactive TV shows. The DIRECTV Receiver with UltimateTV service includes the following: DIRECTV Receiver (RCA or Sony) DIRECTV Access Card Cables to connect the receiver to your TV and to a phone line** Dual-LNB DIRECTV satellite dish antenna (the receiver can be sold without a satellite dish antenna for customers who already have a DIRECTV satellite dish) Remote control Wireless keyboard (optional) For instructions on setting up your receiver, click here. * Dual-tuner features require a dual-LNB DIRECTV system dish antenna. ** The connection to a phone line lets the receiver call a phone number periodically to update your Access Card and to enable other services.
