UltimateTV: Setting up Your Receiver







The steps for setting up your DIRECTV™ Receiver with UltimateTV® service are outlined here. For more detailed instructions, see the setup illustrations below or the comprehensive Setup Guide. You can also see answers to common questions about setting up your receiver. Install your dish antenna (included with some receiver models) and point it at the DIRECTV satellite. Professional installation recommended. Connect two cables from your satellite dish antenna to the receiver. Using the supplied cables, connect the receiver to your television. Connect a phone cable to the receiver and plug it into a phone jack. Turn on the receiver and television. Sign up for the UltimateTV® service and DIRECTV® programming by following the on-screen instructions. (See Account Activation for additional information.)
